SUBJECT: PSSMA 2012 PRODUCTION SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT

Please join your fellow PSSMA members and associates at the 2012 Production Seminar to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 15-17th, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel. The meeting will begin with a tour of the Bemistape Production facility with buses leaving the hotel at 1pm. Then meet your colleagues back at the hotel for the welcoming reception at 6:00pm.

This year, the Technical Committee will meet on Tuesday, May 15 at 10am at TEN-E Packaging Services. The Associates Group will convene at 5:45pm Wednesday evening. In recognition of their plants’ outstanding safety performance, we will honor the 2011 Safety Award winners at Wednesday’s dinner. The Board of Directors will meet at 7am, Thursday.

In addition to the Tuesday Bemistape tour, please sign up for the unique opportunity to visit HB Fuller Company’s Research Facilities on Wednesday. Buses will depart the hotel at 1pm and return at 4pm.

Our Wednesday General Session will feature an assessment of the economic and business conditions affecting the multiwall industry, as well as multiwall industry trends. The focus will turn to paper, the major cost component of multiwall sacks, with presentations on global and domestic multiwall paper markets. After discussions of regulatory issues, a summary of adhesive technology trends will set the stage for the HB Fuller Research Center tour.

Thursday’s session will highlight the US Paper industry’s exciting initiatives to better its story and to tell it in a better way, with emphasis on setting and meeting challenging industry sustainability goals. Rounding out the operational focus will be topics on bag filling and palletizing which members have requested. Check out the enclosed agenda for details.

The Radisson Plaza Hotel is located centrally downtown about 20 minutes from the Minneapolis Airport. They have offered to extend the favorable PSSMA meeting rates for three days before and after the meeting to accommodate those who might want to extend their stay.
